Singapore

Singapore, the “Lion City”, is located in Malay Peninsula. With an area of about 640 square kilometers, it is one of the smallest countries in the world. It is composed of the main island and

tens of neighboring small islands. It owes its global fame to its clean streets, a great number of tall buildings, established legal system and internationalized education. The climate is quite warm all the year round. Singapore is a renowned garden city and its natural and ecological environment is well preserved. Sentosa, a paradise for vacation and the first night zoo in the world are both excellent examples.
Dentistry in Singapore has a long history. Singapore’s first dental college was built in 1929. It enrolls both undergraduate students and post-graduate students and many of its training programs
are acknowledged and praised by various key international testing centers. Most dentists in Singapore have received professional training in international dental organizations in America, Britain and Australia and Singapore’s high-quality and efficient dental treatment attracts a plenty of patients from foreign countries. Singapore Dental Association (SDA) was established in 1967. Joint by dentists around the country, it is a professional organization dedicated to promote the professional ethnics in dentistry, improve and strengthen the relationship between patients and doctors and provide various services for the benefits of the public and oral medical development. The SDA plays an active role in the further education, scientific research and code criteria of stomatology.
